Okay here is a picture for all you curious folks out there. Taken at the restaurant in Denver on Monday. JR Oh right maybe I should elaborate that is Floyd and I. I'm not to bad at holding the camera out in front to take a picture. Don't even have to zoom in as my arms aren't that long.

Wonderful Day

Well I had a wonderful Memorial Day. I had to work so couldn't go very far but then decided I hadn't had a holiday off yet so decided to take M day off. I was going to take the girls up to Antioch but then Floyd asked if I would go to CO with him to his parents. Well sure, or not about going I jumped right in and changed things around so I could take the kids Wed instead. So we drove down to his folks about an 1 1/2 of here. Then we went into Denver for lunch and this Mexican place with a big waterfall and dinner entertainment. Very interesting even if you are not a kid and I love watching diving. We got good seats overlooking the waterfall and afterward wondered around inside for a while and then went to some mall. Can't tell you which one as I was totally turned around but it was a big one and fun to wander around for a while. Then we headed back home and me to work. All for tonight, JR

Facial hair

Lol don't you love the title. Okay I have to admit the reason I don't already have a picture of Floyd and I up on my blog. About a week after we started dating he got the bright Idea to shave to see if I liked how he looked better that way. ON the day I was going to have Lynisha take a picture as the tree in front of his house looked absolutely awesome at the time. It is a hanging cherry tree which escaped the cold and was totally covered in white blossoms. So he comes over to pick me up for meeting and gives me a hug and I look up and see his face. Well he knew right then that I didn't like him clean shaven. I just have to admit some guys do look better with facial hair and he is one of them. Lucky it grows back pretty fast so now I can look at him at convention without wincing. Oh yes, I can also take a picture without harming the camera.

School

We got our final grades for school today. I got an A in Nutrition and Diet Therapy and a B in Microbiology. YEAH ME. I will have to tell you a little about my classes. Nutrition and Diet we were told at the beginning of the class that we would have to write a 4 page paper on a topic so I chose nutrition in the elderly as I know something about that. Well then I sat down and wrote everything I could think of that I knew at that moment on elderly nutrition and titled it Elderly nutrition paper/notes, and forgot about it. That was clear back the beginning of Feb. So May comes around and I have this paper to write so I get a bunch of books from the library and very carefully write a 4 page paper on elderly nutrition. Then on the day it is to be submitted I submit my notes!! This I don't realize until I am checking my outgoing mail and see the attachment. Well I thought I was really going to flub that class up and was thankful I had a 98 in it as the paper was worth a third of the class as well as the final. So I am thinking if I totally messed up at least I would get a C and not have to retake the class. So last week I get my graded paper back from my teacher who gave me a 89 with a comment very simple but nice paper and you might want to use elderly instead of we. Well needless to say I was very shocked at such a good grade from random thoughts of the top of my head.

Microbiology I really enjoyed the lab class and didn't much enjoy the lecture part. So my good grad in that comes from the Lab part. For are final in lab we were given a tube of unkown microbes that we had to plate and figure out what they were by gram staining. We had gram stained everything that might be in our tube and each tube had 3-4 microbes in it. We had to find and identify at least 2 and hopefully three. Well at the begining of this process our teacher told us that the 3rd microbe she could not get to grow so we would probably only be able to get 2 at best. Well first I discovered that the third microbe that the teacher could not get to grow was growing quite well on my plate so that was one bonus and the second bonus was that I actually had a 4th microbe in my tube. Well cool a bunch of bonus points so out of a 150 page paper that most students were only going to get 125 points out of because of the microbes not growing I got 175 because mine grew and I figured out what they were plus identifying one we had not studied. So that really helped on that grade. All for today.

My Guy

Well I am dating now and I won't say finally because it's not like I had time to sit around a fill sorry for myself anytime in the past. So today you get to read my thoughts on dating or what ever happens to come off the tip of my fingers today.
When I first moved here we went to Union meeting down in CO and since Nish and Jim have a van I went with them and Floyd. Well someone down there that didn't take the time to find out that I was Nisha's sister and had just moved here called Floyd's mom after meeting and told her it was really nice that his girlfriend had come to meeting. So we sorta laughed about that but didn't really think to much of it though Jim kept telling me I should give him a chance and ask him out sometime. Honestly my thoughts on that where that he was a goofy kid that lived here in town and was always over at Nish and Jim's so if I wanted to spend time there then I would have to put up with him also.
So I put up with him which wasn't really to hard to do as we all spent time together and get along well. Then in Feb I was coming home from Kearney and still had 1/2 day off before I had to go to work the next day and everyone else was still out of town so I called him up and we spent the afternoon together. I was quite amazed that we got along so well on our own and had fun. So off and on through the next months we started hanging out more and more together. Then May 4th he was trying to get up the right words to ask me out which he rather stumbled around on and never quite got the words out so I go over to Nish and Jim's the next day and she tells me that Floyd told them we were now dating. Well good thing they are here. If I have any questions about what's going on in my life I can just ask them. LOL.
So last Sunday night before I get off of work I get a phone call from Floyd asking me if I can come over after work. This is 10 at night and he has to get up early to go to work but I stopped by anyway and he showed me what he had been doing that day. Thats when I found out he could be really romantic also. He has a hanging cherry tree in the front yard that has loads of white blossoms on it right now. He cleaned out from under the tree and put a bench there to sit on. It smelled beautiful under there.

Random thoughts from my day.

So this will be just a jumble of thoughts like my mind at the moment. I just got out of or nursing program lunch where us new students for next year meet with our instructer and the students just finishing up the program. So now I am a big bit scared and stressed out. Basiclly I have everything done that I need to have done to start the program except my physical. BUT I asked how much I could resonable expect to work during the program and they told me maybe every other weekend. YIKES!! How am I going to manage that one???
I've also come to the conclusion that I am a work a holic, and can't say no to going into work. Then I was told that we will have no life. NO dating, time with families or having babys if we want to get into this program. So maybe I need to go tell Floyd this as we just started dating. Lets see "Sorry after 3 days of this dating thing I've been told by my nursing teacher that I can't date during the nursing program if I want to get through the program sucessfully, so I just have the summer in which I am going to be working every hour I possible can as I can't work during the nursing program either." Now what responce do you think I will get from that.
I've already desided that when I graduate Lynisha and Jim are going in my speach with a big Thankyou for supporting my nutritional needs during the year. I am so glad that I have relatives here in town and am not trying this entirely on my own and I only had two classes this semester. I keep telling myself it is only 9 months and I CAN do this.
