Fall 2008

The pictures of the flowers and butterfly's where taken by Floyd when I was at school. I was really wanting to go take fall pictures and he offered to take my camera and go get some pictures. He came back with a lot of pictures from the park that where really neat.

These are some of the trees around town.

At the college. The trees along the building and the red ones down the parking lot are all crab apple trees but the one by the door is still green while the others along the building are yellow and the ones along the road are red.

I love the different colors of bushes. I am hoping some year to have our front yard like that.

Pumkins

Floyd has never carved a pumpkin before so Sat we went to the store and got some pumpkins.

So first you pick some pumpkins that you think might be the right size. Then you sit there and figure out what you are going to do next. 1)cut the top off. 2) try to figure out how to get all the pumpkin goo out of the pumpkin with out getting your hands to dirty. Then I have to laugh because I realize he is wearing his don't panic shirt. 3) once you figure all that out carve your pumpkin. 4) find some candle's and matches so you can light your pumpkins. 5) find the best place in the front yard to show them off. I had a great time with this.

Views from the top and feeding the ground squirrels or chipmunks. They had bags of peanuts for sale and these little critters would stuff their cheeks. They literaly ate right out of your hand.

The long and short of it

At school for patient care we are supposed to make long term and short term goals. Well instead of that I have long and short post. Hopefully a long post that I've managed to shorten.
School is going pretty well. I got a 102 on my Basic Nursing Test the other day. We started clinicals this week have them next week and then the week after is our Basic Nursing Final. Tomorrow I have a 10 chpt test in Pharmocology that I have done a lot of studying for but still don't feel like I've got it all.
Tonight on the way to work Floyd got pulled over and it was discovered that his liscence expired in MAY!!! Now why did someone not cetch that the 10 times we had our liscenses checked at the court house for various thing before and after we got married. I mean come on fokes.
Sat I had the day off so in the evening we went and got pumkins to carve. Floyd has never carved pumkins before so we had lots of fun. As soon as I discover the box my camera cord is in I will get some pictures of them up. I am just about ready to go to Walmart or somewhere and get a new card.
AFTER a week of surching we found our IRON. I have to have school patches on my school uniform and I knew we had an iron somewhere but hadn't found it since we got married.
So that is the long and short of it for the night. You all have a wonderful rest of the week.
