Lasts and firsts

Mommies goofy girl.

this is the last picture of her crawling in the swimming pool. Grandma got a video of the first time she tried to stand from a sitting position. Which will probably be the last as next summer she will be walking.

playing ball with daddy

One of the last time's she falls asleep in her swing.

She went on the Walk of Hope Cancer walk with daddy last Friday night while I was working.

First bowl of noodles.

First smoothie

Around the time Nish did the blog about Kyrie getting older I was thinking about watching for Lyrah's lasts. I know she's not a year old yet and hasn't done a lot of her firsts but she is growing and changing so fast that she will soon have a whole pile of little lasts. She has already had her last little toothless grin and her last bottle with daddy or grandma. Or at least I hope they don't give her a bottle anyway when I'm not looking. We've had the last time we can leave her alone on a bed and soon will be the last time I can leave her at the bottom of the stairs while running up stairs quickly to do something because she is already trying to climb them. I can't set her down in the back yard and run around front for the hose as she can creep now and tries to follow me. She also walks the walls or furniture after us. She is learning the word no, eating everything she can put in her mouth and jabbering up a storm. So here are a few pictures of our summer of first and lasts.

Lovely post, sometimes the lasts are sad, but there are always so many firsts to look forward to. As each last is put away to remember, there are good things about every growing up first.
