School

Well I went to our program orientation today. Lots of paper work to fill out and things to get done before hand which by yesterday afternoon I finally got done. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. So we got packets today and filled out a bunch of papers as well as got to meet some of our instructors and then people from the nursing home in town came to talk to us to try and recruit as well as the hospital. We got our schedules for this semester as well as test and quiz dates which is really nice because then we know a head of time when our quizzes and test will be and she also put on which chapter in the book they would be on. So we have a paper due on Monday when classes start and a quiz on Wed but that is over beginning abbreviations that we use every day at work any way so not to worried about that. We get a day off every month and 3 weeks of for Christmas break as well as 3 days off school at Thanksgiving so that will be nice. Only a day and a week until the wedding so I'm glad the first week of school won't be to hectic. I'm sure I will be blogging more about school later but until then its almost wedding time.

Wedding plans

Well for all of you that are asking the wedding planning is going pretty well on my end. I am hoping it is going as well for my mom, aunts and dear sister who are doing the bulk of the planning. I have my dress, and shoes, Floyd has his suit and shoes. We have our rings ordered and the guys vest, ties ect. We are still looking for shirts for two of the guys. My mom, grandma, and aunts are working on the flower girl dresses this week and Lynisha is working on flowers and cake ideas. So from my side things are looking pretty good. Work is going pretty good and I get the day off tomorrow to go to the lake with my family and my brothers fiances family. Next week is the Kearney shower and I work untill then so I will be pretty busy. I am trying to get my appartment packed up as far as all the stuff I don't need and get wedding stuff in one place so I know where it is all at. I keep thinking I have everything done for school and then have to go to Scottsbluff to get something that they didn't have the last time I was there.
So that is how my summer is going. Hope you all are having a great summer.
Oh I forgot we are registered at Target and Dillards.

Seven things about me

1. I never thought I would drink coffee but like mom says never say never as I love it now. Coffee on Sunday morning at Jim & Nisha's, ice coffee, and flavored coffee.

2. Hobbies- blogging, reading books and other people's blogs, cross stitching, taking pictures.

3. I've gone to college three times and 4 different colleges. Hopefully this will be my last time.

4. I've moved at least every 2 years of my life, lived in 4 different states and 10 different towns.

5. My favorite form of exercise is swimming and then walking. I hardly ever get to swim anymore as I go with Trey and Kyrie but I have been getting a lot more walking in.

6. I can walk about 4 miles while at work.

7. I hate to shop for myself but could spend all my money on other people.

Rocks

So I was reading my mom's post about the story of the professor filling up a jar and don't know how to add a post transfer to take you to that post but anyway you can check it out under mom. So I was thinking of rocks in my life the bigger things that our important and fill up our lives. One would be my fiance who I spend a lot of time with and thinking about a stressing for. The stress was that he couldn't seem to hold a job down for one reason or another but I kept telling him just like my mother tells me and I know as it has happened many many times to me THINGS WILL WORK OUT!! So he had an interview at Cabela's Wed and got a job there that will be 12 hours a day for 5 days a week. So that stress is now over hopefully. As far as school well I have all my shopping done for that and all my medical stuff done so I am just waiting for classes to start. With the wedding and planning well I just have to remember that I turned most of that over to my family so I just have to let them deal with it in their own time line and not stress over it myself, after all that is why I gave them the job because I didn't need more on top of getting ready for school and the stress of work and always having to train new people and deal with odd hours. So that is my life today but I am going to relax and enjoy a wonderful breezy evening with my fiance under a beautiful cherry tree.

4th of July

I had to work 14 hours on the fourth of July but this is what I got in for fire work pictures.

They had a small fireworks show for the residents outside on the 4th. The smoky bright light picture in the top left hand corner is the type of fire works they chose for elderly alzhimer patients that don't really like smoke and noise. I did have fun trying to figure out the settings on my camera and don't think I did to bad of a job as half of these I was holding my camera in my left hand and taking picture while eating an icecream cone with my right hand. GO ME! Think how good they would be if I had actually set the camera on a stable surface. lol. I did have a lot of fun though. HAPPY 4th of JULY WEEKEND ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

Late night ramble

Hello again all. I bet you thought I got lost out there in the computer world. But here I am and really I was lost in the wedding planning world and on the wedding blog page. So lets see for an update. Even though I've managed to pass off the wedding plans to most of my family ( which I give you a HUGE THANKYOU for) I still do have a few things I have to do.
So Wed Mom, Lynisha, Raimie and I headed down to Denver to pick up Beth and go wedding dress shopping. We had printed off the picture of the dress I thought I really wanted and Lynisha surched stores and printed out directions. So with Beth in the passenger seat and Gene on the other end of the phone helping to navigate we got to our first store which was closed on Wed. Well we got a bright Idea to call and see if the next store was open. It was so we headed over to the mall where the store was at and had lunch at Chilies before finding the store. Well this store was okay they did have some dresses with sleeves but really most of them were in 6-8 and I am not that small so it was hard for me to get any idea what so ever what I wanted except for the neck lines that might look okay. Well we didn't find what I liked so we went on to the next store.
This time someone got the bright idea to call ahead and see if the stores actually had the dress I wanted to try on or at least the line of dresses. Well we found a store that did so headed clear across Denver to find it. This store was really nice inside and they had racks of dresses with sleeves and big dressing rooms with a stand and mirror so you could really see well. So I started trying on dress after dress after dress. Most of them were a close size so that was really neat to be able to see what they actually looked like. So I tried on the dress that I liked from the magazine but it just wasn't right. I tried on a few others and liked one or two well enough to buy them but none really grabed my untill I found the one. I tried it on and it was just perfect.
After that we went in the paper store for a few minuets and then onto the mall to check out flower girls dresses. Well we found a few cute ones but I think mom is going to make them. Now it is on to shoe shopping which is a total different post. All for tonight.
